A probably stupid newbie question
Hi to everybody!
So,I just got GW Prophecies and Factions for my birthday...i thought that installing and activating both would allow me to play the assassin and ritualist in both Prophecies and Factions campaign, but it doesn't happen...so my questions are: - if I begin playing Factions will I be able to play the quests of Prophecies too? Or the two campaigns are totally stand-alone? - If I begin playing Prophecies what happens to the Assassin and Ritualist? Will I never see them in action? Please help me...and forgive my bad english,I'm italian! Thanx! |

You should install Prophecies and create an account.
Then, you click the "Add Key to account" and add your Factions key to your Prophecies account. Or vice versa. This is called linking your accounts and thus giving you 6 slots, but your characters can travel between Tyria and Cantha. Factions is considered Stand-alone because you can still play it if you don't have Prophecies. |

And if you do as Shadowfox1125 says and link your accounts, you will be able to make an assassin or ritualist in Factions (Cantha). Then when they level up, you will also be able to take them to Prophecies (Tyria). You can start one of the 6 "core" classes in Prophecies, or one of the 8 classes (6 core + ritualist + assassin) in Factions. Hope this helps.
Have fun with GW |

A Canthan born character can only do quest/missions from around Gates of Kryta, quests before that aren't available and missions before that don't give any XP.
But everything in Kryta and onwards can be done (except from a few Tyria specific quests). The same goes the other way around, meaning Tyrian born chars cannot do anything on the Canthan starter island. Hope that clears it up. |
